What services do you offer?
Since it’s inception in 1960, Hodges Window and Glass has greatly expanded our window repair and replacement services. We offer most of our services both in store or on-site. Please review our services tab to get a nearly inclusive list of all we offer. We have a motto at Hodges Window and Glass….we can handle anything involving glass, windows, or screen!
Do you offer estimates?
Yes, our knowledgeable staff can price nearly any window repair just from measurements, and a description…all over the phone! We will give a price range that we will strive to stay within. We are a honest and straightforward family business that will always treat our customers fairly and only offer products/services that we feel are essential to the repair(s).
If I have a broken window I cannot remove, would you come to my home?
Yes, we offer on-site repair services to Baltimore city, Baltimore county, Harford county, and some areas of Howard County. We are flexible about how far we are willing to drive to complete your repairs. Please call us to inquire whether we service your area.
Do you offer emergency glass repair services?
Yes, we want to make sure you keep your family or business safe and we can repair most issues on the same day. Due to the nature of our busy schedule, there may be an additional charge for an emergency repair. Again, the emergency repair hours are flexible but they will generally remain at or near our normal business hours.
Can I just replace one pane of glass in my double pane?
No, the ONLY way to repair a double pane is to fabricate a brand new sealed double pane, using your original frame/sash. This ensures you receive a product just like they come from the factory. If any other company offers to do this, you are receiving an inferior and unsafe product.
Do I save money by repairing my windows instead of replacing them?
Yes! On average, you will save up to 40% or more when you decide to repair your windows instead of replacing them.
My windows are in terrible shape. Do you offer new replacement windows?
Yes, our new window business is co-located and is called Hodges Window Distribution. If you call our primary phone number 410-686-1389, we will route you to someone who can schedule an estimate for you.
Does your company offer custom glass shower Enclosures?
Yes! We pride ourselves on high-quality glass and hardware. We come to your home and complete a no obligation estimate. Upon an agreement and partial or full payment, we can generally complete work in 2-4 weeks.
Do you repair foggy windows or windows with condensation between the panes?
Yes, we can help with foggy or failed insulated glass units. In many cases, the sealed glass unit can be replaced while keeping the existing frame when possible.
Can you repair or replace broken window screens and patio door screens?
Absolutely. We repair standard window screens, sliding patio door screens, and can also help with custom screen sizes and replacements.
Do you offer same-day window glass repair?
Many repairs can be completed quickly, and some double-pane repairs may be available with fast turnaround depending on glass type, size, and scheduling.
Can you repair glass in doors, cabinets, tabletops, or furniture?
Yes. We handle custom-cut glass and repairs for cabinet doors, interior doors, tabletops, shelves, furniture inserts, and other specialty glass applications.
Do you work on commercial storefront glass and business windows?
Yes, we provide commercial glass and window repair, including storefront glass, on-site service, and custom commercial glass solutions.
Can you make custom mirrors or mirror walls?
Yes. We can custom cut mirrors for bathrooms, gyms, closets, studios, and decorative wall applications in a variety of sizes and styles.
What should I do if my window glass is cracked but not completely broken?
It’s best to schedule a repair as soon as possible. Even small cracks can spread over time, reduce energy efficiency, and create safety concerns.
Do I need to bring the window or sash into the shop, or can you repair it on-site?
Both options may be available. Some repairs can be completed in-store if you bring in the sash or frame, while other situations are better handled by the mobile service team at your home or business.
How long does custom glass or mirror fabrication usually take?
Turnaround time depends on the size, glass type, edge finish, and project complexity, but the team can provide a time estimate when you request a quote.
Do you offer free quotes for custom glass, mirrors, or shower enclosures?
Yes, you can request a quote for custom projects such as glass tabletops, mirrors, and frameless shower enclosures, and turnaround varies by project type.
